Magazine dedicated to the maritime culture and heritage of the Mediterranean, published by the Barcelona Maritime Museum.

Digital Argo: We break down physical borders

We invite you to navigate with us through the virtual world.

Technology allows us to send any information to all corners of the world immediately, conveniently and free of charge. In addition, this message can be sent in Catalan, with the certainty that the recipient will have tools to translate the message, if they think the content may interest them. Language is not a problem, and many people around the world can discover that Catalan also tastes salty.

This opportunity has led us to make an important decision: to leave the physical Argo and work in the digital dimension, with the certainty that our magazine can interest people who are on the other side of the world and who may not speak Catalan, but who will find our content attractive and enriching. And the philosophy of our magazine has always been the same: anyone who loves the sea is of interest to us, anywhere in the world, whatever their culture or language.

The sea, in all its dimensions (historical, sporting, economic, cultural, environmental, recreational, etc.), awakens passions beyond gender or age. The contents that explain the sea and its relationship with human beings (and vice versa) please and excite lovers of maritime things. They always invite us to look towards the past and also towards the present and the future.

We have good news: after a season in port to undergo many transformations, the Argo ship is once again setting sail for a cruise without limits and without a return date. We invite you to sail with us through the virtual world, with more dynamism and more audiovisual resources, but with the same enthusiasm as always.

The Maritime Museum ofBarcelona has different channels of dissemination and communication, and Argo magazine is one of them, a small “delicatessen” for the most exquisite palates. It represents a strong commitment to truly becoming the magazine of people who love the sea, whoever they are and wherever they are, in universal Catalan.
